(EDITORIAL from the Korea Times on Oct. 26): The prosecution plans to summon Jeon Goon-pyo, commissioner of the National Tax Administration, next week for questioning over the allegation that he received a bribe from a subordinate. The former head of the Busan Regional Tax Office Chung Sang-gon has claimed he gave Jeon 60 million won of the 100 million won he had received from a corrupt builder. Chung's testimony appears persuasive as he was specific about the money ? 50 million won in Korean won and 10 million won in U.S. dollars ? which was handed over to Jeon on several occasions.
