WORCESTER - Holding a candidates debate on the night the Red Sox would be taking the field for the opening game of a World Series meant the one-minute answer limit was strictly enforced, to the point that violators' microphones were shut off several times.
"One minute is just not long enough," complained Mayor Konstantina B. Lukes, a victim of at least one mike shutdown during the 90-minute debate at Becker College. "We have a lot to say."
