Veka Inc. is no newcomer to cellular PVC decking. The Fombell, Pa.-based firm came out with its Vekadeck reinforced cellular PVC deck board, above, several years ago, to compete with wood composite decking. Veka also recently signed a deal with Winchester, Va.-based Trex Co. Inc. to extrude PVC profiles for Trex's new Escapes decking, not yet on the market. Veka's own agenda involves coming out with its next-generation Vekadeck soon, said marketing director Steve Dillon.
