Plans are under way for a major redevelopment of Eye Town Hall.
A company called Eye Town Hall Improvements has been set up to apply for grants for the project, which is expected to cost about [pounds sterling]750,000.
The town hall, which was donated to the people of Eye by Sir Edward Kerrison in 1854, is in need of a modernised kitchen and washroom and repair work to its roof, window frames and floor.
The main entrance to the building also needs to be modified to allow wheelchair access and there are plans to install new central heating and electricity systems.
