I WATCHED as Chris clambered into the seat of the Spitfire plane. He looked like a little boy who'd just been given the best present in the world. And in a way he was - this was the realisation of a childhood dream... and the first of his three dying wishes.
Waving down to me on the ground, his grin was huge and I was so proud as he took off.
I took photographs constantly, aware I was collecting memories, possibly some of the last I'd have of Chris, the man I wanted to grow old with.
