Talk about fan-tastic timing.
Coors Field is usually quiet in October when Jefferson County students get dropped off at the baseball stadium as part of the school district's Downtown Denver Day.
Not Friday.
Wide-eyed third-graders from Leawood Elementary could hardly contain their excitement as they mingled with Rockies fans buying merchandise or picking up coveted World Series tickets.
The students waved Rockies signs as the band Kick'd played.
They even were interviewed by a TV reporter.
