WORCESTER - Plumley Village opened a combined food pantry and Women, Infants and Children program site yesterday to help Worcester residents battle hunger.
Ana R. Rodriguez, community liaison for UMass Memorial Health Care's Community Relations Department and a speaker at the grand opening ceremony, said, "I have seen everything. The hunger is right here. It's a problem, not only for Bell Hill but throughout the city."
