DENVER - The Red Sox are fond of saying their offense succeeds based upon an ability to "keep the line moving." For much of the season, however, shortstop Julio Lugo represented the end of the line.

But in last night's 10-5 win in Game 3 of the World Series against the Colorado Rockies, Lugo penned a tale of redemption. From the eighth spot in the lineup, he played a key role in both of his club's rallies.

Lugo, batting .400 during the World Series, doubled with two outs in the top of the second, thus assuring Daisuke Matsuzaka would bat in that inning rather than to start the third. The development proved significant.
