VICTORIA - Three popular B.C. rivers have reopened for sport fishing, Environment Minister Barry Penner announced today.
An assessment of steelhead in the Albion test fishery indicates sufficient steelhead stocks have escaped upstream to allow reopening of the Thomson River, the Fraser River (near Lillooet) and the Chilcotin River downstream of Chilko River to fishing for fin fish other than salmon, effective immediately.
