Time is ticking away in the race to save the Adelaide - and pictured is a centuries-old clock that will form the first stage of her revamp if she comes home.
Sunderland City of Adelaide Recovery Fund (Scarf) and Sunderland Maritime Heritage (SMH) are trying to save the 150-year-old Sunderland-built clipper ship from destruction.
Its owners Sunderland Maritime Museum (SMM) say they can no longer afford to keep her and are looking at the best way to dismantle her.
But Peter Maddison, chairman of Scarf, says the group is moving closer to rescuing the ship and now has widespread backing for plans to bring the Adelaide back to Sunderland.
