One can only imagine what Jacoby Ellsbury will do when he actually becomes a rookie.
The 24-year-old outfielder, who spent most of the season between Double-A Portland and Triple-A Pawtucket, gave the Red Sox a spark in September during the push for their first AL East title since 1995.
But he topped it all in the postseason.
Ellsbury, who will maintain his rookie eligibility in 2008, batted .438 during the Sox' four-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies in the World Series, including a 2-for-4 performance in last night's 4-3 Game 4 win. He doubled to lead off the first inning and scored the game's first run.
