So much for rock 'n' roll rebellion.
With egg on face, the young rebels of Pearl Jam have given up the good fight. They'll be doing business with concert behemoth Ticketmaster after all.
This is a major cave-in: The hugely popular Seattle quintet has been embroiled in a very public feud with the ticketing giant. In May 1994, Pearl Jam filed a civil complaint with the anti-trust division of the U.S. Justice Department that alleged the ticketing service has a national monopoly over ticket distribution and that service fees charged by the agency drastically inflate ticket prices.
