DETROIT _ When it comes down to it, nobody needs a healthy set of teeth more than the family dog. The better to keep burglars away and devour those old soup bones.
And though it may sound a bit preposterous, an increasing number of pet owners believe it only makes sense to brush the dog's teeth daily. It is part of a fast-growing new area of veterinary medicine, preventive dental care.
