DENVER - It took forever, so Game 3 of the 2007 World Series qualifies as one of those games that can be talked about forever, or at least for a few days.
The Red Sox won it, 10-5, in 4 hours, 19 minutes, making it the longest nine-inning World Series game in history. It was closer than a five-run game, though, and for a while in the middle innings, it seemed as though Boston might lose it and risk turning momentum over to a Rockies team that made it all the way to the World Series by taking advantage of every little break it got.
