Bank Caspian to spend up to $1.5 bln on financial company

ALMATY. Oct 30 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) -Shareholders of Kazakhstan's Caspian Bank are looking at spending up to $1.5 billion to acquire a financial company.

"We have large resources in terms of capital and investment - Caspian Bank shareholders have at least $1.5 billion. That is why we are looking at specific investment that is not linked with the banking sector," Caspian Bank Chairman Mikhail Lomtadze said at a press conference Tuesday in Almaty.
