DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing in a Peterborough street are treating the attack as racially aggravated.
Two men punched, kicked and stabbed the victim as he was walking from Hartwell Way to Edgecote Close, in Westwood, at 10.30pm, last Wednesday.
It is believed the victim, an Iraqi, was attacked as he reached his door and was hit from behind, causing him to fall to the ground.
One of the offenders then attempted to stab the victim in the head with a knife, but wounded the victim's hand instead as he tried to defend himself.
