NEW YORK -- As a growing number of consumers see chain drug stores as the gold standard when it comes to health and wellness, it has become the trade class of choice for a growing number of vitamin and supplement shoppers.
The fact that consumers know there will be a pharmacist in each store is an important part of the decision-making process, says Gabe Navarro, vice president of operations at Navarro Discount Pharmacies.
He notes that chain drug retailers are increasingly tying in pharmacy with their vitamin and supplement departments.
