"All of the body structures are united and supported by the fascial components," writes Dick Larson, PhD, LAc, Certified Advanced Rolfer, in his 1990 article for the American Journal of Acupuncture. Fascia is fibrous connective tissue found under the skin (superficial fascia) and the connective sheets and bands that encase muscles, bones, and organs, holding them in place (deep fascia).
