The KZN Regional Finals of one of South Africa's most dynamic writing competitions, the NLDTF/Pansa Festival of Contemporary Theatre Reading of New Writings, took place at the Kwasuka Cutting Edge Theatre at the weekend, with Kobus Moolman's poignant two-hander, Stone Angel, walking away with top prize.
The winners were: Best Writer as selected by the panelists (R5 000) - Kobus Moolman for Stone Angel; runner-up (R2 500) was iLobolo by Clinton Marius; the audience prize (R2 500) was unanimously won by Marius for his iLobolo and best director was Clare Mortimer (R2 000) for her work on Stone Angel.
