With just 10 weeks before the first primary votes are cast...
The race for the GOP presidential nomination is wide open. At least five Republican contenders have a fighting chance to win it.
Rudy Giuliani leads in national polls, though not by very much, and he still hasn't convinced core conservatives that he's their man.
Mitt Romney has the most money, but a relatively liberal record as Massachusetts governor and his Mormon religion still dog him.
Fred Thompson shows more life but has yet to really catch fire.
John McCain is bouncing back from a disastrous few months, though he's short on cash and is weak with the Republicans ...
