SEATTLE, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Waste Management is proud to announce its role as a charter member of the U.S. Conference of Mayor's Climate Protection Council. This announcement comes on the opening day of the two-day Mayors Climate Protection Summit being held in Seattle.

The new Climate Protection Council was unveiled to underscore the key relationships needed between local elected officials and business leaders to accelerate community-wide green projects.
