WASHINGTON, Oct. 31, 2007 (IPS/GIN) -- Burma's military government will face another round of international scrutiny next week when a working group from the U.N. Security Council meets to consider evidence in connection with allegations that the junta is recruiting child soldiers.

"The brutality of Burma's military government goes beyond its violent crackdown on peaceful protestors," said Jo Becker, a children's rights advocate for Human Rights Watch and the author of a report on child soldiers released Wednesday.
