In many organizations, the stag and management of the corporate Information Technology (I/T) organization confront a difficult challenge. On one hand, they have a mission to support the strategic growth of the organization by providing automated systems that anticipate and respond to emerging business requirements. This mission statement often translates to programs aimed at rightsizing existing systems or migrating to new and different system architectures and platforms.
