New Jersey officials are evaluating the pros and cons of implementing slot machines at race tracks, which could generate an estimated $114 million annually for education needs throughout the state.
The state Treasury Department last week released a report compiled by Christiansen Capital Advisors LLC that evaluates the potential impact on Atlantic City casinos and New Jersey Lottery revenues of the implementation of video lottery terminals at the states three horse-racing venues: the Meadowlands Racetrack, the Monmouth Racetrack, and the Freehold Raceway.
