TAICHUNG COUNTY, Nov. 6 Asia Pulse - Taichung County Magistrate Huang Chung-sheng suggested Monday that Taichung County and Taichung City should be combined into one administrative area to speed up the development of greater Taichung.
Speaking at a meeting of the Taichung County Council, Huang pointed out that the county currently has a population of 1.55 million, surpassing the 1.25 million required for an administrative area to become a special municipality under direct Cabinet control.
