WORCESTER - One of the trademarks of the Holy Cross hockey team during Paul Pearl's tenure as head coach has been its ability to score on the power play. Yesterday just added to that tradition.
The Crusaders, ranked second in the nation in power-play efficiency, scored three times with the extra man to defeat Army, 3-1, in a nationally-televised game (ESPNU) at the Hart Center. The win gave Holy Cross a split in the two-game series and moved the Crusaders (3-2-1, 2-1-1 in Atlantic Hockey) into a second-place tie with Bentley, two points behind Sacred Heart.
