THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., of Huntsville, Ala., has been awarded a contract from the Department of Defense to design, develop, integrate, test, manufacture and deliver the Joint Material Decontamination System (JMDS) to U.S. military forces.
The JMDS will be designed to remove toxic contamination as a result of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons from sensitive electronic equipment, command posts, aircraft and avionics, and other applications where water and harsh decontamination materials could damage or destroy items being decontaminated.
