WORCESTER - First-time candidate Dorothy J.G. Hargrove finished an impressive third place in the School Committee race yesterday, joining the committee with fellow former teacher-of-the-year Robert A. Bogigian, who finally joined the committee in his third race.
All four incumbents were returned to office: Jack L. Foley, John F. Monfredo, Mary J. Mullaney and Brian A. O'Connell, who, for the seventh election running, was the top vote-getter on the school side.
Ms. Hargrove was a reading specialist in the Worcester public schools for 39 years before retiring in 2002. Now, she teaches teachers as an instructor at Fitchburg ...
