DMC gets $297,000 in grants from Homeland Security
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded $297,000 in grants to The Detroit Medical Center.
The grants were made as part of the department's Urban Areas Security Initiative Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which provides funding to nonprofits deemed at high risk of a potential international terrorist attack.
DMC plans to use the funding for security upgrades at DMC-Children's Hospital of Michigan, DMC-Detroit Receiving Hospital and DMC-Harper University Hospital.
