Erroll Stevens, the director of the Denver office charged with finding new tenants for defunct Stapleton Airport, handed his resignation to newly reelected Mayor Wellington Webbphoto last week.

Stapleton 2000, the office that has struggled to find tenants since Stapleton Airport closed Feb. 28, is expected to be replaced later this year by the soon-to-be-created Stapleton Redevelopment Authority. Stapleton was replaced by Denver International Airport, which this past week sold $329 million in bonds in a move designed to retire old debt and partially restore reserves depleted by construction.
