TAMIMENT, Pa. - If you think there is relief in sight soon for the textile and apparel businesses, you may be disappointed, according to a top textile executive.

Commenting on the current market conditions, Walter Elisha, chairman and CEO of Springs Industries and president of the ATMI, said, "These conditions are not just cyclical. We are witnessing a structure change."

Elisha addressed his remarks to the members of the Textile Distributors Association Wednesday at its annual meeting at the Tamiment Resort hotel here.
