Office Vacancy Rate Rises in Madison, Wis., But Remains Below Average.(Originated from The Wisconsin State Journal)

Jun. 22--Madison's office vacancy rate edged up during the last 12 months but remains among the lowest in the country, according to an annual real estate survey.

Overall vacancy office rates in Madison rose to nine percent in 1995, up from seven percent a year ago, according to Michelson Associates 1995 office vacancy survey.

Madison's vacancy rate is among the lowest 5 percent in the nation, said Don Michelson, owner of Michelson Associates, a Madison commercial real estate firm specializing in the city's office building market.
