Representatives from 45 member states to the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), observers and representatives from United Nations (UN) member and non--member states, as well as observers from intergovernmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and others took part in the 51st CSW Session held in New York from 26th February to 08th March 2007.
In accordance with paragraph 2 of Resolution 1987/21 of the UN Economic and Social Council, the members elected for the Bureau of the Commission serve for a two-year term. The following members, who had been elected at the fiftieth session, continued to sit at the fifty first session:
