This article explores the nature and role of curriculum collaborations within individual academic departments as a mechanism for ongoing curriculum renewal. In the past two decades, a confluence of movements in American postsecondary education has emphasized collective faculty responsibility for the college curriculum, but few scholars have documented sustainable processes to realize this goal.
