16 Indian workers in Bahrain seek dues from employer

Dubai, Nov 9 (PTI) -- Sixteen Indian labourers, who had lodged a complaint against a contracting company for allegedly not paying their dues, are likely to get their money after the intervention of the Indian embassy.

The workers, hailing from Tamil Nadu, went to the embassy on October 31 to complain against a company which owed them BD 2,500 (around Rs 2,59,000) for overtime.

They also said they had been promised good jobs on their arrival in Bahrain, but had ended up labouring for various companies, some of which had failed to pay them.
