DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 1995--The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) has awarded Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Inc., the federal contract to serve as intermediary for the Medicare Part A program for New Mexico and Colorado. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas will begin processing Medicare Part A claims for those states effective Nov. 15, 1995. The transition phase of the contract has already begun.
