TASMANIA, Nov 13 Asia Pulse - Opponents of the Gunns (ASX:GNS) pulp mill in Tasmania, Australia have seized on close ties between the ANZ Bank and the logging industry in Papua New Guinea (PNG) to increase pressure on the bank not to fund the mill.
Conservationists will expand moves for an international customer boycott of ANZ after the bank defended its relationship with controversial Malaysian logging giant Rimbunan Hijau, which accounts for half of the logging in PNG.
