MURVEST, INC., Fort Lauderdale, FL was issued a warning letter on Sept. 10, 2007 by FDA following an inspection of the company's seafood processing facility on June 18--19, 2007. FDA found that the company had a serious violation of the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulation. Failure of a processor of fish or fishery products to have and implement a HACCP plan that complies or otherwise operates in accordance with the requirements renders the fish or fishery products adulterated.
