BOSTON, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- International Data Group (IDG), the world's largest computer publishing and market research company announced that Eugene V. Gartlan has joined IDG as Vice President- Finance/Chief Financial Officer.

Gartlan joins IDG from Thomson Information Publishing Group where he was Vice President/CFO since 1991. During his tenure, Gartlan was responsible for all financial activities of the $3 billion decentralized publishing group with over 150 operating companies around world.
