A recent survey, commissioned by ingredient solutions provider National Starch Food Innovation, has revealed that products offering multiple health benefits can profit from added consumer appeal.
These are the findings of an independent study investigating the effect of combined health claims on consumer perceptions of a variety of popular foods.
The objective of the research was to discover how added benefits influence product image and consumer buying behaviour. Conducted in Germany, the online survey was designed to gauge the opinions of over one thousand people on a selection of everyday products, bearing different combinations of health claims.
