Austrian Agrana's Hungarian sugar refinery Magyar Cukor opens HUF 1.7 bln biogas plant
BUDAPEST. NOVEMBER 14. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Leading Hungarian sugar refinery Magyar Cukor, a member of Austria's Agrana group, has inaugurated a new HUF 1.7 bln bio-gas plant in Southwest Hungary's Kaposvar, the company announced in a statement on Wednesday.
"The [bio-gas] investment shows that our company is ready for a renewal among the current difficult conditions," CEO Bela Fischer was quoted as saying in the statement, referring to the slowdown of the Hungarian economy and unfavorable quota and subsidy regulations in the sugar sector.
