CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Polaroid Corporation (NYSE: PRD) and the U.S. Display Consortium today announced that Polaroid has been awarded a $3.9 million contract as part of a public- private partnership to develop a domestic supplier base for the next generation of high-definition, flat-panel display screens. The 2.5-year development contract, which was awarded on a competitive bid basis, is the second largest signed to date by the U.S. Display Consortium.
