It depends on which continent you emanate from, in order to determine what the most serious global crisis is. I want to identify the three major global crises: climate change, military conflict in the Middle East, and finally, poverty and HIV/AIDS.
We must recognize the devastation that was caused by the Cold War. The U.S. and other superpowers during that period made decisions that caused misery and led to the resentment of many nations. When the Cold War came to an end there was widespread excitement and a belief that the world would now move in unison and that there would be no dominant players attempting to interfere in the affairs of other nations.
