WORCESTER - Thanksgiving could put local election officials in a major bind as to when they will be able to conduct a recount in the mayor's race.
In fact, there is a distinct possibility the recount may not be held until Nov. 26, the last possible date it can be scheduled.
Frederick C. Rushton, who unofficially finished 105 votes behind incumbent Konstantina B. Lukes in the mayoral contest on the Nov. 6 municipal ballot, said Friday that he will ask for a hand recount of all ballots cast.
