The history of the hydrogen society hasn't been written yet, but future historians will record the dawn of this new age as beginning in Iceland in 2000.
Iceland, sitting on the rift between two tectonic plates, is "blessed with an abundance of geothermal power," said Thorsteinn I. Sigfusson, a professor at the University of Iceland and one of the key promoters of Iceland entering the hydrogen age--and helping lead the rest of the world into it.
