Volkswagen decision echoed by IT, professional services firms

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. -- Twenty-four businesses that used Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) services in the third quarter of 2007 will create 1,055 jobs in Fairfax County. The largest announcement came from Volkswagen of America, which announced in September that it would relocate its headquarters to Fairfax County and create more than 400 jobs. Most of the companies creating jobs are in the information technology and professional services sectors.
