CHICAGO, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co. (DCR) has placed the "AA" (Double-A) claims paying ability ratings of Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company of America (AHL) and its subsidiary, First Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company (FAHL) on Rating Watch--Uncertain.
The rating action reflects the announcement that Household International, Inc., ultimate parent of AHL, has signed a definitive agreement to sell AHL and certain AHL subsidiaries to Jefferson-Pilot.
