BALLYMENA'S sporting 'Oscars' will have a new stage in 2008.

The annual Ballymena Borough Council Sports Awards will take place in the new Braid Town Hall Complex on January 31.

BBC sports presenter Jackie Fullerton will once again host the prize presentation following a dinner.

The Sports Awards provides an opportunity to recognise and honour the successes achieved by our local sportsmen and women whether as a performer or as a hard working coach/ administrator.

Nominations are currently being sought from sports clubs, schools, and members of the public for the following categories:
