AT the moment there is a lot of talk about how much red meat we should eat, and whether we should start counting the number of bacon butties we have like we do with units of alcohol.
I cook bacon every day for the guests and most people do enjoy a hearty breakfast when on a holiday. I asked our head housekeeper if her husband eats many bacon sandwiches and the answer was most days, but then again he works outside and its hard labour so he burns it all off.
Another survey reported that more sausages are cooked in households on Sundays than any other day, so I presume this is the day families sit round the table and enjoy a good cooked breakfast.
