WTKK-FM acknowledged yesterday that Boston's black leaders may be disappointed with their decision to put Don Imus back on the air but said the shock jock and radio station are moving on.
The Greater Media-owned station announced yesterday that "Imus in the Morning" will return to WTKK (96.9) on Dec. 3. Imus was fired in April after he referred to the Rutgers women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos."
"It was indefensible then. It's indefensible now. He's moving on and we're moving on," said Greater Media Boston Vice President Phil Redo.
